We round out the show up with a hearty serving of news ranging from Blizzcon announcements to Valve quashing false advertising.

With a sword sheathed at our side and our guns holstered, the Swordchomp crew wanders into the remains of a world once teeming with technology. We take control of a drifter torn apart by disease, and discover the secrets of Hyper Light Drifter. After our time spent in a post-apocalyptic world, we are magically teleported to a universe called The Regions, a universe filled with magic and wonder. We each take control of one of seven protagonists in the old-school JRPG Saga Frontier. We don’t stop there, though. We discuss some of gaming’s hottest news topics, such as the Nintendo Switch, the announcement of Red Dead 2, and Bethesda’s decision to send out game review copies of future games only one day before release.
Swordchomp Roundtable No. 1 - Boss Battles
The Chompcast takes a break from the usual discussion and debate of video game titles to bring you a titillating and energizing new segment: Roundtable discussion. A Roundtable discussion involves us picking a topic of gaming and then making personal top 10 lists. From there, we select the five we feel are the all-time best and etch them in a tome for history. For our first Roundtable discussion our topic is gargantuan, frightening, and dare we say epic: bosses.

The underwater adventure continues this week on the Chompcast as we descend into the briny deep of Abzu, a game filled with wonder and joy. Opinions were mixed on the game, and we remained divided at the end of the discussion. Shea and Josh, or Mulder and Sculley (you can decide which one is beautiful enough to play as the beautiful Dana)? They share their time with a supernatural thriller of a game, Oxenfree. Keeping this podcast shorter, we wrap up with some news regarding Cuphead and EVE Online.

This episode is dedicated to Morgan’s childhood. His filthy, filthy, childhood. Through the years, many things have changed. Phones have become computers, self-driving cars, hoverboards that don’t actually hover, and so much more. One thing that has never changed is Morgan’s affinity for Tomb Raider.
